Of Bombs and Retrogressive Technology
Irony!
God bless the person that coined that term
Because "irony" makes our world more sensible
Not wholly,
But at least one has a name for the prevalent madness
Of contemporary living.
Away from the less than self-explanatory intro,
One is appalled by how technologically advanced
Some of our nations have become
I am not talking about flying into the orbit
Neither am I concerned about finding a permanent cure for the world'
deadliest illnesses
Nay, the folks I'm talking about are only technologically progressive
in negative terms
North Korea, for instance, they say, would rather build missiles that
will fail rather than feed its people
South Sudan and Sudan would rather go to war other than tackle issues
of starvation and disease
And in Nigeria, ha ... one needs more time and space
Houses are not enough
Solution: Bomb those that are available
Roads are in horrible state:
IEDs will help create more craters
Hunger and disease are decimating the country's population: despatch
the remnants to the great beyond by detonation
Police manpower is inadequate:
Hunt available ones down to aggravate the sense of insecurity
People try to find solace in worship centres:
Bomb the hell out of those habitats to show them that even God cannot help them
Now, education is in shambles:
Attack the Universities and make sure nobody goes there
Where next? Hospitals? To scare them from taking in survivors?
Mine the roads? To ensure no one can use them to run away from the
impending calamity?
Assuming those who do these have the weaponry of the United States-
the nuclear reactor submarines, the F1's, the warships and all arsenal
for the extermination of the human race,
What would have become of all of us?
They would have deposited personalised plutonium and uranium military
grade bombs on every house to Nigeria.
One still appeals to our consciences; those of the wicked politicians
that steal public bombs and those of the aggrieved citizens who can
bear it no more!
How many more people will have to die before we are jolted to a real awakening?
Just know that those who destroy can never have the proficiency to
build anything meaningful.
